The World at Your Doorstep

  • Walk or hop aboard the TRAX light rail system to an exciting list of downtown attractions, including Symphony Hall, the Art Center, City Hall, Gallivan Center, the Natural History Museum at the U of U, or, nearly next door, the outstanding Clark Planetarium.
  • Check out the chic clothing stores and the wonderful shopping choices at the Gateway Mall.
  • Stroll downstairs to see the excellent art selection in our very own Westgate Lofts Art Gallery, Atelier.180, or wander over to the many fine galleries on Pierpont and visit the many artists of the area.
  • Multiple-cultural dining offers authentic Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Brazilian, Southwest, Mexican, European and Italian restaurants and atmosphere throughout the neighborhood.
  • Hop TRAX to visit the Salt Lake Bees baseball field, the U of Utah sports stadiums or the Utah Jazz at the EnergySolutions Arena.
  • Or you can vistit historic downtown around Temple Square, the Tabernacle Organ, Brigham Young's Lion House or visit Emigration Canyon, home to the Zoo and the authentically restored Pioneer Village.
  • Many major new downtown projects are already underway, including the fabulous City Creek Center Mall just a few short blocks away - only minutes away on a free TRAX ride - with its fine line of exclusive shopping, restaurants and movies, and a major new grocery center.
  • And the new BYU Salt Lake City Center and LDS Business College have both moved just right next door to our neighboring NBA Jazz Arena - 1 ½ blocks, on TRAX which now stops right at our very own corner!
  • If you work downtown, the conveniences multiply. Near the freeway entries for both I-15 North and I-15 South, Westgate Lofts is easily accessible from any direction.
  • TRAX light rail is already just 1 short block away to the North, and it will soon stop just a few steps away on 400 West, where it will provide free transit service every 15 minutes to Main Street in a circular run.
  • At our corner you can step onto TRAX and ride free just two blocks west along 200 South to the new Intermodal Hub. This new state transportation center already houses Amtrak trains and the Greyhound Bus stateion, and by year end 2007 it will also become the home for the new Frontrunner Commuter Rail, running several times daily to northern Utah. And soon it will also begin running south to the major points of Utah County.
  • Four new Salt Lake County extensions for TRAX were approved in a recent bond election to run lines to the SLC Airport, Draper, West Jordan and West Valley, all to be completed over the next few years, joining them all to the current lines running from our downtown location up to the University of Utah and to all points along the route to Sandy.
